This is some Willy Wonka type shit. I wanted to stretch further the space in between confusion and understanding by complicating a simple symbol like that of the number 2024. One of my favorite parts about my painting is when the viewers are without the knowledge of the symbol and attempt to guess what they see. My sister immediately saw water bubbles while my dad asked why I painted a golf course.
