BHM
This is a part of practice that I have been experimenting and growing a lot with. As I continued to explore ways to bring a painting to an audience rather than having to wait for an attraction, I naturally found myself creating stage designs by stacking cardboard boxes. Essentially crafting my own wall that is easy to transport, store and access.

Taking advantage of the institution that I am currently placed in and the amount of events that are curated, I look for moments where I can see myself and my work to be a good fit.
The Black History Month concert at Sayles Hall headlining Lupe Fiasco was one of moments.

The painting itself is a branching off the letter BHM with its specific color palette. As part of my style, I write Lupe as well as all the openers' names in Korean. The painting plays in between the realm of complete understanding and confusion to create intrigue as well as taste.
