Spilled Milk

I don't know what got into me but I remember becoming captured by this desire to carry out a installation project that challenged routined perceptions and created extraordinary moments. After this desire was felt, many things suddenly seemed to fall in place like that of having a conversation with Yereem which introduced me to her print making practice. She had created a negative of the banana milk that was attached to my childhood and Korean heritage. It was just too perfect.

We spent nine hours in total struggling to attach the prints to the ceiling experimenting with different types of tape and superglue. I realize I should have used blue tac having been through much more. A project that strengthened relationships and created a symbol that threaded the IOA event with an immersive set design.
