To begin the class, Professor LK would play a beat out of the speakers inviting all the students to stand up and start cyphering. For a lot of us this made us uncomfortable and under pressure. Maybe it is because of the amount of vulnerability that was expressed in the class but as much as the course, MUSC 1240R 'Intro to Rap Songwriting' was out of my comfort zone, it is also the most memorable. As a class we hosted a final show in the Underground highlighting each's final songs.

The design for this painting centers the Korean word '송', which is my surname as well as translating to 'Song' in English. This was one of the first opportunities to actualize what I had imagined with regards to the stacking of boxes in creating an easily movable, storable and accessible wall.
